Harlington Area Schools Trust Harlington is a founding member of the Harlington Area Schools Trust, along with Parkfields and Arnold Middle Schools and Toddington St George VC and Sundon Lower Schools. The aim of the Trust is to provide a coherent all- through education for children and young people aged 4 to 19. We work very closely to achieve outstanding outcomes for all. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, together we aim to provide educational excellence for the young people of our community. Sixth Form The large Sixth Form at Harlington means that an impressive number of courses can be offered. We have one of the most modern, best equipped schools to be found anywhere in the country. In addition to state- of- the art facilities in all curriculum areas, Sixth Form students enjoy the exclusive use of the Sixth Form centre. This consists of a large study area, common room and facilities for private study. Sixth Form students also have their own IT suite and café. Our superb facilities, high quality teaching and focus on the individual combine to provide a very special Sixth Form experience. More details of our Sixth form can be found in the Harlington Sixth Form Prospectus. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, together we aim to provide educational excellence for the young people of our community. Community 6 | Harlington Upper School Relationships in school are very harmonious and it is a calm and orderly environment Ofsted 2008 Governors The Governing Body at Harlington plays a prominent strategic role in the development of the School and the maintenance of its longstanding ethos of personal achievement and social responsibility. It is this cultural framework which has provided the foundation for the success of the School and its students over some forty years. Governors support and promote the School in the local community and join in partnership with governors across HAST to ensure that every student has the best possible opportunity to maximise their skills and talents and to achieve their full potential throughout their school lives. www. harlington. org | 7 |
