South Hampstead High School is a happy place. Everyone enjoys being here - pupils, teachers and staff alike. As you walk through the door, you can feel the energy. Laughter is the most common sound in the corridor and there's a buzz in the air. We're a vibrant community of individuals. Families come from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. In fact, our girls speak over 60 different languages at home! Each girl is able to be herself and there is a genuine respect and tolerance for one another. 3

4 We cultivate intellectual curiosity and independent thought. Teachers create a genuine enthusiasm for learning by encouraging the girls to ask the questions ' why?' and ' what next?'. It's a challenging environment, but one where girls can realise what they are capable of and discover their full potential. Lessons are balanced by a wide choice of pursuits outside the classroom. Girls are encouraged to try something they've never tried before, exploring hidden talents and the value of teamwork along the way.
